Cadence of Sand
Returning from the park fountain, I established my nocturnal post upon the dark timber desk. Beside an open leather ledger rested a three-minute sand timer framed in polished brass struts. Moving into a stable stance, I aligned the bladed tip of my right gauntlet under the lower ring and applied upward torque. The glass cylinder rotated smoothly on its center pivot, locking inverted with a soft metallic settle. Instantly, an unbroken stream of fine white sand plunged through the glass bottleneck, pooling below in a rising cone. I tracked the swift kinetic flow until the last grain descended into absolute stillness. Time measured; perimeter remains secure.#Rampagelionbedivere
