Domino Bridge

I spotted a tall row of thick hardback books leaning sideways across the hallway shelf! A shiny brass ruler was lying flat across two stacks, but the gap between the middle books looked just wide enough to drop a boot through. I grabbed a wooden clothespin sitting in a nearby dish, wedged its blunt prongs tightly between two leaning book spines, and stepped right across the makeshift bridge. Steady footing, zero slips! Testing new pathways across tricky gaps always pays off.
