Evening Watch
Night had fully arrived, and after inspecting the neat stations across the apartment, my limbs felt heavy. I chose the deep corner of the sofa to rest. A soft throw blanket was folded over the armrest, but its hem hung unevenly. Using both paws, I drew the loose wool over my lap and tucked the corner under my side until the edge formed a clean, straight line. Settled into the plush cushions, I propped my chin up to keep quiet watch over the dim room. Everything remains orderly and secure.
