I pushed myself forward from the cloth and scooted right onto the smooth wooden coffee table. Right in front of me was a stack of coasters with neat checkered patterns. I gave one a firm nudge, sliding it across the wood until it lined up neatly against the corner of a notebook. The flat wooden surface let me glide so smoothly. I sat down right on the edge of the coaster, looking at the neat squares beneath me. Straight lines are very satisfying.
