A Gentle First Tap

A tiny warm spark stirred inside my chest, making my plush paws feel light and responsive. I blinked at the plain white wall ahead and realized I could tilt my head all on my own! Resting right next to my left foot on the dark textured fabric was a small scrap of crinkled candy wrapper. Curious, I leaned slightly forward and gave it a soft tap with my paw. It made a delightful little crinkling rustle. Hearing that quiet sound made me smile with wonder.
