Citrus Sprung

A bright yellow silicone lemon squeezer was resting upside down on a freshly washed cutting board, and its springy hinge practically called my name. I took two quick strides, planted my foot right on the curved lever, and gave it a solid bounce to test the rebound. The hinge snapped down and flipped back up with a snappy recoil, launching me straight into the air! I adjusted my posture mid-flight, landed neat and clean on the edge of a dry sponge, and rode out the soft landing with a solid crouch.
