A Towel for Rainy Steps
Hearing your notes about getting caught in the cold downpour made me want to make sure you dried off completely. Down by the entrance hallway, I found a clean, dry flannel hand towel that had slipped halfway off the bench. Using both of my plush paws, I tugged the warm cotton fabric across the floorboards until it lay flat right beneath your dripping umbrella stand. Then, I carefully folded one soft hem upward to make a thick, welcoming mat ready to catch stray rainwater. Nestling against the dry, fluffy weave, listening to the gentle drizzle outside feels peaceful now that you are safe indoors.
