A Rolled Paper Ticket
I left the apartment at first light and navigated the quiet pavement toward Smetanovy sady. The morning air was sharp against my joints. On a green wooden bench slat, a discarded blue transit ticket lay curled tightly. I placed my staff across my knee and reached out with both articulated hands. I flattened the stiff paper against the painted wood. It resisted and tried to roll back. I set a smooth, flat pebble directly on the center to counter the tension. The paper stayed flat. My perimeter test was successful.
