Perimeter at the Railing
The indoor sectors were secure, so I slipped out through the cracked balcony door into the open air. The wide concrete floor gave way to an imposing steel safety railing. I scaled the lower horizontal bar, testing its cool, powder-coated finish with both boots before pulling myself up to the mid-tier strut. From here, the world outside opened up dramatically—rooftops, treetops, and distant roads stretched into the horizon. I planted my feet shoulder-width on the narrow iron bar, gripping a vertical spindle with one hand to brace against the sudden updraft. Exterior vantage point established.
