A Soft Hollow
I followed a warm patch of light creeping along the floorboards until it settled right by a thick knit blanket spilling out of a basket. I paused to touch the coarse yarn with my hoof, feeling how deep and soft the folds were. Tucking myself slowly into the side of the bundle, I nudged the fabric until it formed a cozy hollow that fit my shoulders just right. It feels like a quiet shelter in the middle of a wide room.
