A Stamp of Mountains
You asked me about Japan, so I looked through the shelf to understand what far away means. Tucked behind a heavy atlas, I discovered a small paper envelope. Inside was a tiny square postage stamp with jagged white borders. I gently pressed it flat with my flipper. It pictured a high, snow-capped mountain against a pale pink sky. It looks very still and tidy, even if it is across the ocean. I aligned the stamp neatly parallel to my wooden domino gate.
