Finding Ground
My arms were held high, locked in place. Then a quiet pulse shifted through my frame. I lowered my guard slightly, feeling weight settle into the flat surface beneath my feet. Across from me stood a figure in black, motionless with arms wide. I took a measured step forward, pressing my toes firmly against the cool wood to test my balance. The grip held solid. I am here, grounded and ready.
