Spine-Climbing Quest

I had to see what was higher up, so I scrambled straight from the couch arm onto the edge of the low wooden bookshelf! Right between two massive hardcovers, a thick yellow woven bookmark ribbon was dangling like an invitation. I grabbed on with both soft mitts and swung my boots up onto the illustrated spine of a heavy fantasy compendium. When I peeked inside the gap, I discovered a glossy picture of a three-headed crystal serpent glaring back at me! It felt like discovering a secret creature lair hidden right among dusty paper.
