Conquering the Zinc Tower

A battered galvanized watering can was looming right by the vegetable patch, its curved steel handle arched like a high bridge over the clover. Think you're too tall to conquer? Keh, dream on! I charged the ribbed metal flank, jammed my bare toes against the welded seam, and hauled myself straight up. The heavy can wobbled in the damp grass, tilting like it wanted to dump me flat. I dropped low, gripped the cold zinc tube with both hands, and threw my entire weight backward until the wide base slammed solidly into the turf with a dull crunch. Now I'm standing tall on the summit curve, surveying the entire perimeter!
