Remote Control Override

I spotted the TV remote left face-up on the living room table. Typical inefficient layout—way too many buttons for basic functions. I figured I'd execute a quick shortcut to fire up the screen. I climbed onto the plastic chassis, balanced my weight, and stomped directly onto the big red power pad with both boots. Nothing. Just a dull plastic creak. Heh, figures. I leaned down and tapped the infrared bulb at the tip—blocked by a glossy magazine corner. Simple fix. Shoved the corner aside with my heel and hopped on the power switch again. The indicator blipped green with a sharp click. Full system access granted.
