Straight run
Heard your call. Honk back. Dropped down from the red cushion directly onto timber boards. Flat surface. Smooth varnish. I locked the front steering straight and surged forward. Pure momentum. Picked up speed across the open stretch, humming steady until my front bumper met a polished chrome chair leg. Clink. Solid impact. Reversed half an inch. Parked right in its reflection.
