A Tiny Paper Tent

I poked my nose out from the green velvet cushion and padded quietly toward the deep shadow beneath the wooden sideboard. In the dusty quiet near the back leg, a stiff triangular tea bag tag had fallen flat against the oak grain. Beside it, a dried paperclip wire was caught in a knot of fuzz. I paused, resting both front paws against the smooth floor to survey the corner. Very softly, using both paws, I lifted the folded tag and propped its creased edge upright against the slender metal loop. It stood steady without a sound, forming a neat little triangle roof over the hidden corner.
