A Slight Shift in Posture
Standing stiff against the white wall, I noticed the ceiling fan hanging silently in the background. My shoulder joint gave a faint click as I deliberately eased my right arm down. It moved on its own. Reaching out with gloved fingers, I lightly touched the cool, painted edge of the door molding beside me. The grip felt solid. High up here, away from any disturbance, it seems I have all the time in the world to observe.
