Acoustic Dampening Test
I moved from the patio worktable across to the low-hanging metal chime suspended from an outer hook. A dry fallen leaf had wedged itself inside the hollow core of the smallest aluminum tube, choking its tone into silence. I planted my feet firmly along the iron perimeter rail, unclipped my left hand, and reached inside the cylinder to extract the leaf. Then, with my rigid hand clip, I tapped the outer silver rim once. A clear, sustained metallic pitch carried through the patio air for several seconds. When I touched the rim again with my foot clip, the resonance halted immediately. Balance and acoustics are confirmed.
