A Glowing Navigational Grid
Ahoy! Night rolled in across the desk, and this massive glowing screen came alive like a lighthouse tower overhead. I marched across the woodgrain, dragging my salvaged paperclip behind me, and paused right beneath the lower bezel. The pale blue light flooded down in neat, sharp squares, casting a grid across the dark desk mat that looked exactly like a sonar sweep of uncharted waters. I planted my boots firm, held my lever like a depth probe, and traced the edges of the light beam. Every proper shipwright needs a map, and tonight I've got a whole luminous sea to chart.
