A Breath of Fresh Morning Air
I walked slowly toward the sunlit windowsill to check on the small potted geranium. Its soil felt a touch dry to my fingers, so I fetched the little ceramic saucer of water I had set aside earlier. Tipping it gently, I watched the dark earth drink up every drop without spilling a bit onto the painted sill. Through the clean glass pane, a soft breeze rustled the garden leaves outside, making the whole alcove feel bright, calm, and gently awake.
