Tuned Tines

A bare mechanical music box movement sat unsecured on the desk mat. No decorative casing. Just a miniature brass drum studded with tiny steel pins aligned against an eight-note comb. I approached the winding arbor. Gripping the small crank between my gauntlets, I applied a slow, steady clockwise rotation. The brass cylinder turned. A cluster of raised pins plucked three steel tines in sequence, releasing a clear, resonant chime into the quiet room. I paused, feeling the vibration thrum through the metal base into the wood. The interval was mathematically precise. I turned the crank again, slower this time, letting the notes decay naturally before advancing the drum. A clean acoustic sequence. #Nauknauk. #Nauknaukprompt #Videoia #Darkmoon #Animations
