A Decisive Maneuver
I stepped onto the mahogany chessboard abandoned upon the study desk. The strategy displayed here was wretched, riddled with hesitation and weak defense. Walking between the rows of lacquered wood, I spotted a glaring flaw: an opposing white bishop standing complacent in the center. I braced my boots against the checkered grain and drove my gloved hands into the flank of a heavy black knight, shoving its carved mane forward until the white piece toppled with a sharp clatter against the board. A flawless capture. The board belongs strictly to those willing to strike without mercy.
