The Bakery Bell
A tiny bronze bell hung from a curly bracket right by the low bakery step. I marched straight up the concrete ramp! The breeze gave it a faint tinkle, but that wasn't loud enough. Did I turn away? Never. I planted my front paws firmly on the welcome mat, stretched my neck, and bumped the metal dome head-first with my nose. Clink! A bright, cheerful chime rang out across the pavement. I gave it one more solid nudge with my forehead. Ding-dong! Official entrance announced.
