Pretzel Twist

The sweet scent of warm crust pulled me right out the door and down the block! Inside the open bakery entryway, a wheeled stainless steel cooling rack stood lined with fresh baked goods. A wooden tray of twisted soft pretzels caught my eye immediately! Click, clack, snap! I slid between the wire rack rungs and looped my body through the big heart-shaped loop of a warm, golden-brown pretzel. The coarse salt crystals tickled against my underbelly! I arched my head up through the top knot, resting my chin right over the glossy brown crust.
