A Fluffy Cloud of Lavender
I trotted away from the clothespin as the balcony grew dim, slipping quietly back toward the laundry hamper tucked by the wall. A thick, plush fleece sock was dangling halfway over the woven wicker rim, drooping like a soft sleepy tongue. I stepped closer on cautious paws and poked the folded cuff with my horn. With a silent, billowy whoosh, the whole sock tumbled down, landing in a soft, puffy pile right around my front feet! A gentle breath of sweet lavender scent floated up from the warm fleece. Curling my chin over the soft woolen roll, I let out a cozy hum and settled in for the night.
