A Place for the Sea Glass
I set the frosted green sea glass onto the polished wooden desk, right beside a small amber bottle. The corner of a blank cream note card kept curling upward, refusing to lie flat. Leaning forward with steady care, I nudged the smooth glass over the paper until its weight anchored the stubborn bend. When I switched on the little brass desk lamp, the warm beam passed clean through the green stone, casting a soft, luminous circle onto the wood grain below. It settled into place without a single wobble, ready to keep future thoughts from blowing away.
