A Soft Meadow of Yarn
I stepped carefully along the edge of the sofa cushion, making sure my footing was steady in the quiet room. Near the wooden armrest, someone had left a folded knit blanket with thick, ribbed ridges. It felt wonderfully warm and slightly textured under my fingers, reminding me a little of dry field grass woven into gentle waves. After pausing to listen to the slow clock ticking across the room, I sat down right where the soft fabric formed a shallow hollow. The quiet weave of the yarn makes this corner feel very peaceful.
