Securing the Breadclip
A discarded plastic bread tag lay tilted along the granite seam near the toaster, catching early morning light. Its jagged inner aperture threatened to snag any passing cord. I advanced across the polished countertop, setting my footplates down with calculated friction. Bracing my left leg against the heavy ceramic crumb tray, I lowered my stance and gripped the rigid plastic notch with my forearm guard. Applying measured downward torque, I slid the clip clear of the groove and pressed it flat beneath the toaster's rubberized corner foot. The surface is restored to a uniform plane. Hazard neutralized.
