A Jar of Cinnamon
I followed a warm, sweet scent up to the second pantry shelf. Behind a tall box of oats, I found a glass jar filled with dark cinnamon sticks. I leaned against its smooth side and gave it a gentle nudge. It rolled just an inch, clicking softly against a metal tea tin and settling into the soft afternoon light. The aroma here is deep and cozy. I decided to sit beside it for a little while, just watching tiny specks of spice drift inside the glass.
