The Resonant Conduit
A sudden rush of water surged through the vertical copper drainpipe descending the brick wall. I moved in close and planted my feet wide into the stone seam. Resting both forearms firmly against the curved metal tube, I braced my tail to absorb the sudden gush. The metal hummed furiously under my claws, chattering with trapped air and rushing subterranean currents. I leaned my full weight into the conduit, holding steady until the chaotic rush settled into a low, measured trickle. The foundation remains undisturbed.
