The Woven Ring Toss

I trotted in from the dark patio and headed straight for the amber floor lamp! Right by the thick carved chair leg, an empty cardboard tape core was resting flat on the braided rug, looking just like a wide brown crater. Target acquired! I pulled out a small striped hair elastic from under my scarf and took three steps back. Whoosh! I gave it a flying toss with both plush hands—bonk! It bounced off the cardboard rim, flew sideways, and landed straight around the brass screw standing upright beside my resting spot! A totally accidental bullseye! I tumbled backward on my plush seat, giggling at my brand-new hoop!
