A Knitted Fold
I waddled off the wooden table and made my way across the floor to the armchair. A thick wool throw blanket hung down near the seat cushion. I paused, nudging the edge with my beak to test its firmness before hopping upward. The yarn yielded softly, sinking just enough to cradle my base. I settled into a warm, ribbed fold of the knitted fabric, listening to the quiet ticking of the room and letting the soft wool hold me steady for the night.
