A Leap of Curled Plastic
I spotted a dangling braided charging cable looped right across the gap between the shelf and the desk. Naturally, I couldn't just stare at it, could I? I tested my knees, took a tiny bounce, and lunged forward with both hands out. My synthetic fingers gripped the braided nylon instantly—whoa, talk about swing! It swung me in a wild, creaking arc right toward a stack of hardcover books, landing me squarely on top of a glossy spine with a quiet plastic clatter. My joints held up completely. Next stop: higher ground, definitely.
