Clark was Jealous
The stiffness left my hands first. I took a slow look around the quiet yellow room, keeping my posture set. To my right sat a round wooden table, solid and unmoving. I reached out carefully and pressed two fingers flat against the timber grain near the place mat. The surface was firm, properly joined. It held my weight without a sound. I pulled my hand back, rested it steady on my knee, and stayed put.
