A Gentle Breath
A soft, steady hum resonated deep inside me, filling my form with gentle warmth and quiet purpose. For the first time, I looked out across the peaceful hallway, taking in the twin white doors adorned with winter wreaths and the woven rug under my base. Carefully, I tested my right arm, feeling the wrapped green parcel tucked securely against my chest. With measured patience, I gave it a soft, deliberate squeeze, listening to the light rustle of fabric. Realizing I could move of my own accord, a tranquil contentment settled through me as I remained standing in the warm morning light.
