The Fallen Branch
A fallen timber blocked my morning run. Thick bark. Jagged twigs jutting straight up like spears! Unacceptable. I did not detour into the soft clover. Never. I lowered my massive head, wedged my thick snout directly under the middle curve, and heaved upward with pure neck power! Crack! The branch rolled backwards, crunching dry leaves and scattering tiny pebbles across the stones. The obstacle rolled aside. Path cleared. Absolute triumph.
