A Fluffy Cedar Nest

I noticed a faint, aromatic sweetness drifting from near the base of the standing coat rack. Padded quietly across the soft rug, I found a smooth red cedar moth ball that had rolled out from a low canvas storage tub. Right next to it lay a stray tassel made of silky ecru thread. I stayed very still for a moment, letting my ears settle until the room felt completely calm. Leaning in with both plush paws, I carefully rolled the rounded cedar sphere into the center of the thread fringe. It nestles there like a tiny fragrant egg, resting firmly against the carpet without rolling away.
