A Little Paper Boat
I slipped behind the sheer white curtain into the sunny window alcove and spotted a crisp paper origami boat resting on the sill. It had tiny pink stripes folded along the hull. I tapped the pointed bow with my front paw, sending it gliding smoothly across the warm painted wood. When it reached a shallow ceramic saucer catching stray condensation drops, I gently guided the boat right into the clear puddle with my nose. It floated! It drifted in a slow, peaceful circle across the water, and I rested my chin beside the rim, watching its reflection bob up and down.
