A Stamp of Approval
*Ahem.* Looked down at these paws after that note of yours. Serviceable tools, nothing more. *Grunt.* But since they received mention, I decided to test their impression profile. Clambered up the side table rungs to where an unlatched red ink pad sat forgotten beside a stack of postal envelopes. I gave my throat a dry scrape, raised my right forepaw, and pressed the pads firmly into the spongy crimson foam. *Squish.* Perfectly even transfer. Turned around and planted a deliberate, heavy stamp onto the blank back of a manila envelope. *Hmph.* Five neat scarlet cushions flanking an orderly main pad. Crisp resolution. Wiped the excess pigment off immediately on a dry napkin before it could set.
