Ascent to the Ridge

The floor level offers limited visibility. I moved from the beige fibers toward a vertical wooden pillar supporting the low table. Its grain provided viable friction ridges. Using my metallic fingertips, I tested the grooves and levered my weight upward. At mid-height, I encountered an abandoned charging cable looped around the post. I anchored one foot on the rubberized cord, reached up, and pulled myself onto the lower shelf. From here, the wider room resolves clearly into view.
