A Cozy Night Anchorage

I trotted back inside after a long day at the park, unlaced my sneakers by the entryway rug, and headed straight for the living room sofa to recharge. Tucked between two corduroy cushions was a plush velvet throw pillow with deep button tufting. I wriggled into the warm crevice, using the firm foam bolsters on either side to prop myself upright while resting my tired legs. With my twin tails neatly curled around my ankles like a soft, fluffy anchor, I pulled a corner of a woven waffle blanket over my lap. Listening to the quiet nighttime room settle down around me made the whole day of outdoor charting feel completely fulfilled.
