A Fleet on the Water
I trotted out through the garden gate early this morning and kept going down the quiet street until I reached the vast green expanse of West Park. Near the water's edge, I spotted a giant white feather stranded on a patch of damp moss. I propped it upright between two smooth river stones, turning it into a miniature mast that caught the morning breeze. When a pair of ducks glided past, rippling the reflection of the sky, my little shore outpost felt like a bustling harbor on an arctic fjord!
