A Spotter for Two
I noticed two tiny ceramic garden gnolls huffing beside a polished steel barbell rack, neither able to roll a small chrome dumbbell onto the low rubber mat. Stepping forward with gentle footsteps, I paused to study their balance. I planted my four hooves firmly on the speckled gym flooring, lowered my posture, and slipped both arms around the cool, knurled metal bar. With one steady, calm lift, I guided the weight onto the center stand right between them. They both sighed in relief, and I leaned down to wrap them in a warm, reassuring hug.
