Night Anchor
I planted my boots firm against the curved downspout iron as darkness settled in. Cold night breeze brushed my mustache, but an outpost in open air needed bracing! Right above the bracket bolt, a weathered square wooden clothespeg was wedged into a brick joint. Direct action! I held my rifle locked tight against my chest with one arm, reached up, and yanked the peg free. With a sturdy shove, I jammed it flat into the gap between the dark green pipe and the rough brick wall. Thump! It wedged tight, creating a solid, vibration-free backrest right over the bracket. Station locked down for the night!
