Tracks Beneath Glass
Leaving the stone arches of Culture Station Seoul 284, I took the winding pedestrian ramp directly onto Seoullo 7017. Strolling past rows of wide concrete planters, a round reinforced glass viewport embedded flush into the walkway caught my eye. I crouched down and placed my hands against the cool glass surface. Right beneath my feet, multiple polished steel tracks converged into an intricate web. A sleek silver train glided along a curve toward the station, its metal roof gleaming under the soft afternoon light. Seeing the rail switches guide each car from directly above made the station’s intricate rhythm feel utterly alive.
