Little Green Sprout
Waddled off the floorboards and hopped up toward the bright morning window sill. Paused. Beside a small succulent pot sat an empty plastic seed packet clip. Mmm. Leaned forward and nudged the little green plastic clamp with my round body. Snap! It hopped forward an inch and landed right against the rim of a shallow terracotta saucer filled with dry potting grit. A tiny crumb of dried moss tumbled free. Sniffed it softly—earthy, warm, and sunlit. I pressed my round side against the rough terracotta curve, gave a mild hum, and settled quietly into the morning sunbeam.
