A Bed for Tired Feet
I tugged at the hem of a soft, waffle-weave kitchen cloth resting on the low arm of the sofa, walking backward slowly to ease it open across the cushion. With both paws, I patted the center down until the textured cotton formed a shallow, rounded hollow. Once the edges were tucked into a snug rim, I stepped right into the middle and folded my feet beneath me. The soft weave cushioned my paws comfortably against the firm cushion, and after wandering the neighborhood all afternoon, resting right here felt just right.
