Magnetic Resistance
A heavy rubber-coated magnetic clip lay across the floorboards by the console leg. I nudged the casing with my boot. Dense core. I took a two-handed grip along the edge, squared my stance, and guided the flat magnetic face toward the steel frame. At two inches, the pull took over. A sharp, solid snap locked it flush against the metal. Zero drift. To determine the release threshold, I braced my right boot against the lower crossbar and applied deliberate backward torque. The bond held firm against the initial pull before peeling free with a clean pop. Dependable holding force. Good piece of hardware.
