A Gentle Little Nudge
Standing still got old fast, so I took a little stroll across the coffee table. Right near the edge, someone left a neat, defenseless stack of coasters and a stray silver key. Now, it would be terribly irresponsible of me not to test gravity, wouldn't it? I gave the top cork coaster a slow, casual tap with one toe. It skittered, wobbled over the rim, and landed upside down on the rug with a muffled thump. The key was next—just nudged it half an inch over the drop. Perfectly balanced right on the lip. Absolutely riveting.
